Dawn Honeycutt is our farm manager, head instructor, and trainer. Dawn comes to MEC with a broad background and many years of experience. Starting out as a child doing Hunter/Jumpers, High School years dabbling in Western events before specializing in Dressage and Eventing. Prior to moving to Alabama, Dawn worked as Assistant Trainer to Debbie Robison of Elfin Forest, CA. Debbie has produced multiple horses and riders to the highest levels of the sport. Their specialty was working with horses that others had given up on, working through their issues and creating more rideable mounts. More recently Dawn has become certified with Path International and enjoys working with children and adults with special needs. She also offers services to those who have served in the military. The relationship between horse and rider is Dawn’s primary focus, creating horses and riders who work in harmony and compliment one another’s abilities.

Pauline Fontaine Camden, born in Washington DC and raised in Virginia, has been riding since she was five. She studied at the university of Alabama, majoring in English and minoring in art and also studied abroad at Oxford. She’s been training her own horses since she was 12 when she got her first grey mare off the track for Christmas. She currently has one mare, Dolly, that resides on the farm. Pauline has been teaching for two years with a focus on beginners, eventing, and jumping.                                                                                                                 

Alisha Palmer is from a small town outside of Auburn, AL. She currently attends The University of South Alabama for a major in Anthropology and minor in Biomedicine while working part time in the Archaeology lab on campus. Alisha has experience with riding, training, and barn management. At the age of 12, she began working around horses. Having ridden western and english disciplines makes her versatile in her teaching activities. Alisha has previous experience teaching lessons for a girls program in her hometown. Alisha specializes in beginners and the foundations of eventing. She enjoys helping individuals make a connections with horses and coaching children on everyday life challenges.
